In collaboration with a company specialising in made-to-measure electrical wiring, we were able to develop this special track feeder and accessories adapted to the dimensions of the modules and to the power supply of small or large miniature train networks operating in digital or digital mode.
The idea behind this project was to provide you with reliable, clean and connectable electrical wiring to facilitate connection operations between modules.
In fact, as you already know or will discover, installing the electrical wiring is an important and essential stage in powering your model railway. Depending on its complexity, it requires a great deal of knowledge and care to avoid any short-circuits or breakdowns.
This stage is even more time-consuming if you have chosen a modular, dismantlable layout, because you also need to provide a connection between each module.
But very often this stage is skipped because we all want to see our train running quickly, and sometimes we don't hesitate to take 'shortcuts' to make things work, even temporarily, without really worrying about what might happen next.
Things can then quickly go wrong when we have to go back to the wiring to make a repair, an extension or a modification, sometimes with the result that traffic is completely blocked for several weeks.
Maketis offers you its Feeder 4-wire cabling pack, a simple and reliable solution specially adapted to the various 118x59cm, 59x59cm and 45° angle modules.
As shown below, it is manufactured by a professional company specialising in made-to-measure electronic cabling, and the cables and connectors are crimped in the factory, guaranteeing perfect current conductivity with no risk of short-circuit or loss.
Thanks to the male/female connectors with coding, connecting the modules is child's play. The same applies to the connection between the track and your analogue or digital power supply unit, thanks to the male connector and its 4 free wires in different colours.
To ensure clean, organised installation, Maketis has included a set of adjustable cable ties in the pack, which you can stick or screw to the inside of the module. You can even add more cables thanks to their zip fasteners.
This Feeder cable pack allows you to supply either :
- two analogue channels or one analogue channel and one accessory power supply
- a digital network with one or more channels and an accessory power supply.
- a digital network requiring high current or a long channel length (>3A over 10m length).

- 1 black PVC cable with 4 AWG18 conductors (cross-section 0.82 mm² multi-strand, max current 5.6 A), lengths 2090 mm and 1300 mm
- 1 set of male and female 2x2-pin plastic connectors with coded pins (max current 10 A)
- 1 Feeder connection bridge between 2 modules, length 200 mm
- 1 connection socket with 4 wires, length 500 mm
