As we can see on the brochure to the entry, this fair is certainly at the highest level of model trains in France
One more time, this fair was amazing and we saw surprising and wonderful layouts. We were very pleased to meet many modellers we knew and "contemplate" their layouts. We want to congratulate them for their very fine achievements and as you will see this is just enormous....
1st Part concerns "Surzillac" Layout, made by Hervé Clépoint.
What seduced us from the first looks it's a picturesque atmosphere mixing a railroad active period in a very quiet country.
The layout represents a small secondary track with PO (Paris-Orléans) / WEST buildings style or architecture. We find a beautiful station with 2 doors with its freight sheds, water tower and its small garage, the whole placed there on a generous plan of ways leaving the choice with quite a lot of passages and parking places for the trains. We are in Period 2 and the numerous present details on the platforms, station, freight sheds and garage show well this old period even without having seen past the first train !
From the entry into the station, the arrival of trains attracts attention with the digital sound of steam engines, the rolling stock has good patina colors and pulls us in the countryside with its rich and varied vegetation.
The scenery is very well realised
The sceneries are varied and every building plays an important role in its space. The numerous details here and there are very well arranged and bring a dose of realism which fills our aspirations. (It reminds to us oh how much it is essential not to forget them).
According to the region and period, it was chosen to reproduce the way with double rail head thanks to SMP tracks in code 75 (this track is available on our website in the Category Tracks, Laying and Scenery), this one is very well put as well as the Ballast, it is a feast for the eyes !
Track SMP code 75 with double rail heads
We're coming now to the Signal man house
Typical Norman farmhouse
At the end, the arrival to the next station very well decorated too
We certainly forgot many other points of view but the atmosphere is well done and we hope you enjoy to see it
See you soon for the part 2 !
