Indispensable for engineering structures crossing electrified roads, this protective canopy will easily adapt to Decapod bridge references, but also to your personal constructions. It is suitable for both 1500V and 25kV electrification.

The actual model is modular and is adapted according to the configuration of the structure and the position of the tracks, but Decapod has chosen to reproduce the most frequent variant suitable for the protection of a double electrified track. If necessary, the parts can be cut or butted together to obtain a smaller or larger model. Just remember that the aim is to prevent people from coming into contact with a live part of the catenary. To maintain realism, for example, it is important to ensure that the contact wire is framed by at least 3cm of wire mesh, even though the actual standards are much stricter.

This model is made entirely of metal with very precise and fine parts, but their assembly does not conceal any major difficulties. In absolute terms, you will only need very few tools (a low-powered iron is sufficient), a few soldering supplies (available in the Decapod range) and a little patience (just a little).

Of course, you will need to take care with the assembly as with any brass kit, but the small number of parts and their precision make this reference quite accessible.

For the installation in the bridge, a drilling template is provided, as well as a piece of cardboard which should make your life easier just for the slightly delicate bending.
