Helix Pack Ø1180 mm – 4 Turns (360 mm) + Support with Legs – HO Maketis Easy Module MOD80100

The Maketis Easy Module MOD80100 Pack is a complete solution combining our Ø118 cm helix (4 turns – 360 mm, ref. MOD80000) with its dedicated support MOD71000 with 4 adjustable legs.

Specially designed for HO scale, this pack connects multiple levels in a compact footprint, with a smooth gradient (2.6% outer track / 2.9% inner track) and a clear height of 82 mm between levels, allowing HO electric locomotives to run with raised pantographs. The platform width is designed for double track, but can also accommodate a single track plus a siding/storage track.

A complex carpentry piece, finally accessible

Helixes are highly sought after, yet they remain one of the most challenging woodworking elements to build yourself. Radius calculations, gradient, track alignment, precise measuring and cutting—many modellers have given up or achieved disappointing results. With the MOD80100 pack, everything is engineered and combined: the 8 mm MDF helix and the modular 4-angle support deliver a ready-to-use, robust and scalable solution.

An essential pack to connect your levels

With its 118 cm diameter, the helix provides a controlled, smooth gradient, bridging large height differences without curve breaks or dangerous transitions. The 82 mm clearance allows HO electric locomotives to run with raised pantographs.

Available from 1 to 6 turns (90 mm per turn), it adapts to every project:

• 1 turn = 90 mm (limited use; insufficient to pass under a standard module)
• 4 turns = 360 mm (versatile; best suited to the Easy Module range)
• 6 turns = 540 mm (for ambitious multi-level layouts)

The MOD71000 support forms a 118×118 cm platform with a 59×59 cm access hole for easy interior access. Its 4 adjustable legs and reinforced joints ensure perfect stability regardless of the number of turns. The correct height provides a durable, reliable connection with Maketis modules.

Track compatibility – safer installation

The helix is designed to directly accommodate curved sections from the following manufacturers:

• RocoLine: R4 (481 mm) / R5 (543 mm)
• Piko: R3 (484 mm) / R4 (546 mm)
• Tillig Elite: R31 (484 mm) / R41 (543 mm)
• Tillig Standard: R31 (490 mm) / R41 (545 mm)

For track laying, we strongly recommend curved sections for quick, reliable installation. Flexible track requires very precise joints in curves and may cause breaks and derailments.

Easy assembly & video support

Delivered as a complete kit (platforms, posts, feet, screws, instructions), the helix and support are easy to assemble. A tutorial video on our YouTube channel shows the process and provides track-laying tips.

Perfect integration with Easy Module

The MOD80000 helix fits directly onto the MOD71000 support and all Easy Module standard modules. Use it as a link between levels or as a central element of a modular structure. Note: 1 to 2 turns are not sufficient to create a lower level under a standard module.

For optimal entry/exit connections, we also offer a dedicated connection set (MOD63000).
