HO (1/87) scale alarm telephone masts manufactured by Decapod. Delivered in kit, to be assembled and painted.
Alarm telephones are particularly useful and are only found on electrified lines: they allow direct contact with the substation regulator that manages the catenary power supply so that it can cut off the power in an emergency in the event of a problem.
They are placed every 900m, on track side 1 in the case of double track lines, or generally on the left side of the track in the odd direction for single track lines.
Decapod offers you two white metal masts specific to alarm telephones. In addition, you will also have access to essential accessories made of 0.2 mm nickel silver photoengraving: the tablet allowing the mechanic to take notes, and various information leaflets (mileage point, line particularities etc...).
The telephones are not supplied, we leave you the choice among the Decapod range of telephones (ref. DP4621, DP4622, DP4623, DP4624 and DP4625) which will allow you to represent exactly the telephone which will suit you.
In order to enable the train engineer to find the nearest telephone in the event of a problem, small red arrows are affixed to the catenary posts: you will also find them at Decapod, decal reference DP9510.
