The real thing:
The Vossloh DE 18 locomotive is the first locomotive to be manufactured in Kiel, Germany, on the former site of the MaK (Maschinenfabrik Kiel) factory, since production of the DE 1002 type locomotive ceased in 1993.
Since their market introduction in 2014, Vossloh has sold more than 130 DE 18 locomotives to various European rail operators, such as SNCF/Akiem in France, DB in Germany, and more recently, FS in Italy. Today, the locomotives operate reliably for shunting and as mainline locomotives.
