See full description below.
Built in 68 units between 2010 and 2012 by Alstom and Siemens (motorisation), these traction units meet the need for additional power to remove heavy freight trains and avoid using a BB 75000 unit.
The engine's power was increased from 2,000 (BB 75000 - BB 75100 - BB 75300) to 2,400 kW by the adoption of a new combustion engine, the MTU 4000 R 43.
The bore was increased for the same cubic capacity, resulting in an increase in weight and volume. The exhaust tailpipe was also relocated, necessitating a modification to the roof. The overall silhouette also changed.
Reproduction of BB 475468, which entered service in June 2012 and is the last vehicle in the series, in its May 2021 condition.
