Kit for making 2 pitting pits, moulded from a single block in HO scale (1/87).
This masonry structure is located in the middle of the depot's entry ways, and is used to tip the fire from incoming machinery, like an ash pan.
These pits are filled with water to extinguish the still burning ashes.
These are then removed either by shovel by railway workers or by a rail crane (LMJ Bondy model crane), and then put into dump wagons.
The bottom of the delivered pit is formed with moulded slag and small cobbles to embellish the whole.
