Haxo Modèle launches a new range of 3D printed products

Haxo Modèle launches a new range of 3D printed products

Categories : News

Maketis is the exclusive reseller of Haxo Modeles products in HO scale (1/87), so we are delighted to be able to announce the imminent arrival of new products specially designed for super-detailing rolling stock or buildings.

All the products in the Haxo 3D range are 3D-printed models based on drawings and real models, with a very high level of detail.

The various models are available in 2 sub-ranges, as Haxo Modèle did for its wagon kits:

Amateur range = basic model

Expert range = highly detailed model

Train accessories

The first products we are going to present to you and offered by Haxo 3D concern a range of SNCF paraffin lanterns for the front of locomotives but also as end of convoy lights.

Paraffin lantern for locomotive type 9Lbis

Used on the old companies until the steam locomotives went out of service.

Amateur range - supplied with moon white glass (blue)

344001 - 2 x paraffin lanterns for type 9Lbis locomotives with blue glass

344003 - 2 x petrol lanterns for type 9Lbis locomotives with blue glass and 2 wired SMD LEDs

Expert range - delivered with cerclo to receive the red glass on the front, giberne to store the red disc on the back in photo-engraving and red glass.

344004 -2 x petrol lanterns for type 9Lbis locomotives with blue and red glass + accessories

344005 - 2 x type 9Lbis locomotive paraffin lanterns with blue and red glass + accessories and 2 wired SMD LEDs

End of convoy lights with paraffin lantern type 9LQ

Can be used on old networks up to the mid-60s

Amateur range - supplied with red glass

344006 - 2 x Lanterns type 9LQ with red glass

344008 - 2 x Type 9LQ lanterns with red glass and wired SMD LEDs

Expert range - supplied with photo-etched triangle on front and red glass

344009 - 2 x Lanterns type 9LQ with red glass + triangle

344010 - 2 x Type 9LQ lanterns with red glass and wired SMD LEDs + triangle

End of convoy lights with corner paraffin lantern type LC

Can be used on old networks up to the end of the 50s (Ep II-III)

These lanterns, with a different design to the "big" lanterns, are small in size. They are placed on the corner signal holders (those located high up on the towed equipment). Seen from the rear of a train, they form a triangle with the main lantern.

344011 - 2 x Corner lanterns type LC

Despite their (very) small size, Haxo 3D offers you a functional version of these lanterns with red lights! Thanks to tiny little pre-wired LEDs. These LEDs cost money, but the effect is extraordinary at the back of a train.

344012 - 2 x LC corner lanterns + red SMD LEDs

Accessories for lanterns or other headlights such as Marchal headlights.

344018 - Bag of 10 lunar white (blue) glasses, diameter 3 mm

344019 - Pack of 10 red glasses, diameter 3 mm

344020 - Pack of 10 transparent lenses, diameter 3 mm

All lanterns with LEDs can be used in analogue mode provided a resistor of at least 470 Ohm is fitted.

Do not connect these LEDs directly to a transformer without a resistor!

For digital use, it is preferable either to protect the LED with a diode bridge or to use a function decoder to rectify the channel's alternating current into direct current.

Here's another very interesting new feature: a shelter for the 18m3 tender of the new generation 140 C Jouef and Lilliput locomotives.

A little history...

On some small secondary lines, the tracks at the terminus are deadlocked. Generally, these small terminals are not equipped with a swing bridge to turn the locomotives and put them back with the chimney in front.

The return journey has to be made with the tender in front. So to protect their pipework from the wind and cold, the locomotives running on these antennae were fitted with a "cabin" on their tender. As the type 140 C locomotives of the Western region were great "specialists" in this type of traffic, many of the tenders assigned to these machines were fitted with cabs. There is no unified model, which is manufactured as and when required by the workshops. There are therefore various models with different equipment, such as gutters or bars to prevent untimely coal ingress, or simply without equipment.

To complete your tender, Haxo 3D offers you a set of 10 briquettes with these shelters!

2 models are available:

344030 - Tender shelter 18m3 for 140 C Jouef without gutters + 10 briquettes

344031 - Tender shelter 18m3 for 140 C Jouef with gutters, bars on the openings, riveted reinforcements around the openings - supplied with a set of 10 briquettes.

Haxo 3D offers you a scale reproduction of the briquettes of the most famous companies used by the SNCF and the networks in the past.

The first proposal is a scale reproduction of the briquettes of the famous "Aniche" company, 3D printed in a fine black resin.

The ANICHE BS markings are legible, though easier to read with a magnifying glass, and the grooves on the reverse are clearly visible.

The bag contains 50 briquettes ready for use or after applying a coat of matt paint.

- 344040 Aniche Briquettes 50 pcs

Another big name in the world of briquettes, from the famous "Combe" company, 3D printed in a beautiful, fine black resin.

The COMBE markings and the Anchor logo are easy to read with a magnifying glass, and the grooves on the reverse are clearly visible.

The bag contains 50 briquettes ready for use or after applying a coat of matt paint.

- 344041 Combe Briquettes 50 pcs

A little less well known but often found in tenders, these "Carmaux" briquettes are 3D printed in a fine black resin. The C X markings are easy to read with a magnifying glass, as are the grooves on the same side as the initials.

The bag contains 50 briquettes ready to use or after applying a matte coat of paint.

- 344042 Carmaux briquettes (CX) 50 pcs

Important note: Different brands of briquettes can be found in the same tender, regardless of the region in which your equipment is used.

Decorative accessories.

Outdoor wall lights

Here at last are some real outdoor wall lights on a typically French gooseneck bracket with a voluminous transparent globe.

They are perfectly scaled and can be fitted with SMD LEDs to give your doors a beautiful light.

These wall lights are available with or without pre-wired LEDs.

To make them stand out, simply paint the underside of the shade in gloss white and the top in gloss garden green. The stem and mounting bracket will be treated in black.

They can be used on railways, above station doors, at stations and on civil buildings.

Watch our videoexample of the installation at Fontenay Trésigny station (Architecture et Passions model)

349020 - 2 x Outdoor wall lights on short gooseneck bracket (without Led)

349021 - 2 x Outdoor wall lights on short gooseneck stem with warm tone Led cms

349022 - 2 x Exterior wall lights on long gooseneck stem (without Led)

349023 - 2 x Outdoor wall lights on long gooseneck stem with Led

Station or level crossing bell.

These bells, which can be found in stations, at the foot of signal boxes and in front of gatekeepers' houses, are used to announce the arrival of trains travelling on the line.

In stations, there are two bells, one for each direction of travel.

The bells are activated electrically by means of wires arriving either from overhead lines, which can be identified by the insulators on the top of the dome, or by underground cable, in which case the dome has no appendages.

345060 - 1 x announcement bell

345061 - 1 x announcement bell with insulator on the dome.
