By far, the most commonly sold DCC systems world-wide use either wired or wireless handsets, and this inevitably brings with it the question of “Where do I put it down?” when doing other things.
While there have been similar products, DCC Concepts felt that they were not really adequate as they were too tight for some brands, did not fit others and in all cases, were totally unable to manage the new generation of larger smart phones now being used more and more often for model railway control.
It was an interesting design project for DCC Concepts…
Lots of subtle curves and internal shaping has resulted in a “Handset Holder” that fits all commonly used DCC systems and most smartphones.
