Precision servomotor ESU 51804

Based on a technique derived from radio-controlled modelling and on the experience acquired by ESU, the new ESU Precision Servomotor is even better suited to solving the drive problems associated with your model train.

Do you have a circular locomotive shed and want to open and close the doors remotely? Now you can do that too. Thanks to the new ESU precision servomotor, movements are much smoother than with conventional servomotors. This is because the ESU product has been optimised for slow movements.

Servomotor:
The most important element of the servomotor is a tiny 9-gram miniature servo, specially optimised and developed for the needs of model railways. Despite its small dimensions (26 mm x 13 mm x 24 mm), it can achieve a force of 1.0 kg/cm.

With a cable length of 30 cm, it can also cover long distances between the servomotor and the decoder. What's more, the decoder enables precise, jerk-free control of the set position, which is particularly important for garage doors.

The standby current consumption of the electronics has been reduced by more than half compared to its predecessor, so the decoder is spared. However, the most important optimisation of the new ESU precision servomotor concerns start-up: the extremely annoying "jerking" known from conventional radio-controlled servos when the system is started up is reliably eliminated.
