Venetian blinds for GC and TEE passenger cars H0 Decapod 1300

The TEE carriages of the SNCF's PBA programme did not have curtains, but a system of Venetian blinds inserted between the 2 windows of the external bays.

The raising and lowering of the blinds as well as the tilting of the slats were electrically controlled by the passengers. The same system was used on the TEE 69 and GC coaches.

These blinds are made of 0.1 mm nickel silver and are shown more or less lowered. They can be left in the colour of the metal, or painted in satin white if you are very demanding. In the latter case, it will be necessary to use a very fine paint, applied exclusively with an airbrush like the one proposed by Decapod. A complete board allows you to equip 2 to 3 cars, taking into account that the blinds are almost never all lowered at the same time. They have been designed for the LSM models but are also very suitable for the Jouef and Marklin models.

For a clean installation without staining the windows, decapod recommends Cléocol glue (an extra strong multi-purpose cleopatra glue) diluted in a little water.
